My name is Devon Howell (she/her) and I am a Resident-In-Counseling with Aurora Counseling! I graduated with my M.A./Ed.S in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from James Madison University in 2023, and now I am working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am supervised by Dr. Laura Copley, Ph.D, LPC. 

 

I work with college students and adult clients who want to focus on fostering authentic platonic and romantic relationships, establishing boundaries with others, learning coping skills, healing their inner critic, and alleviating shame in their relationships. As a clinician, I utilize an integrated approach, pulling from humanistic, experiential, and narrative approaches to therapy. I even enjoy incorporating out-of-the-box concepts, such as tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs). I also offer options for emotional support animal (ESA) letters, university accommodations due to a mental health disability letters, and gender affirming surgery letters.

 

When I am not seeing clients, I love to cuddle with my tuxedo cat, Chowder, play video games, and journal!
